"The search was so difficult because you go through these emotional roller-coasters of having such high hopes and having so many possibilities and none of them looking great," said Linnea's friend and Bible study leader Sarah Johnson.
Members of Linnea's bible study group said Lomax began acting strange and didn't look well just days before she went missing after leaving an outpatient therapy center. Friends say they offered their support - but say Lomax refused their help.

The Sacramento County Coroner's Office said it is still investigating the cause of death; however, foul play does not appear to be a factor at this point in the investigation. A cause of death might not be determined for several months.
