LINCOLN, CA - The Yuba County Sheriff's Department said a missing fisherman's boat was found overturned on Camp Far West Lake, but they haven't found the man.

Tod Filburn with the Sacramento City Firefighters Union said the missing man is a member of the Sacramento Fire Department. The man's name has not been released.

Lt. Damon Gil said the man's belongings were also found onshore. Another fisherman reported coming upon the capsized boat several hundred yards from shore Wednesday night.

The man's relative called and reported him missing at 5a.m. Thursday. Searchers have been looking for the fisherman by boat and on the shore.

"We have a dozen to 20 people still here involved in the search. We have two boats from Yuba County and one boat from Placer County. We have people in the water and on the shore searching. Our focus is in the water (right now)," Gil said. "For some reason, he fell out or came out of the boat and now we believe he's unfortunately still in the water."

After searching the entire 29 mile shoreline of the lake, Gil said searchers will be back on the water probably about 6 a.m. Friday. They will use a side scan sonar equipment.

Camp Far West Lake is 44 miles north of Sacramento.
