VACAVILLE, CA - After a month long investigation, police arrested a man in connection to a murder in an east Vacaville neighborhood.
Anthony Ruiz, 20, of Vacaville, is accused of assaulting Tyler Grande, 20, on July 4, which caused a traumatic brain injury that lead to his death a week later, Vacaville police Det. Chris Lechuga said.
After trying to run from police, Ruiz was arrested on the 100 block of Rutherford Drive for an unrelated warrant.
Lechuga said Ruiz was a person of interest in Grande's murder. During his with police, Ruiz was arrested for manslaughter, probation violation and drug possession.
